As February (and hopefully Winter) comes to an end we find ourselves in transition. It is a bit trickier to put together a consistent look because of the fluctuations in temperature which can be a real shock to my system.

The way I deal with this though is by utilizing my third piece rule. Adding an extra layer like a jacket, vest or scarf that is easily removable can add a sense of sophistication and make you look more put together.

Here are some tips to help you layer up without weighing yourself down:

1. Your first layer should be fitted, always add a belt to esseunate your waistline if you aren't sure.

2. Be aware of porportions

3. Mix and match. Incorporating different materials will create a texture and interest to your look.
