Sometimes you just have to get away and unplug from the world.
Taking the time to escape these realities every so often helps me manage my stress and keeps me fresh. It had been a while since ‘C’ and I went out on a day trip so I decided we would take advantage of this beautiful fall weather and spend a day out together somewhere far away.
I wanted the day to be special and since we had received an invitation to try Enterprise CarShare, we decided to take them up on their offer. The service is member-based (the application process is simple) and includes everything from a compact car to a luxury vehicle, available to rent hourly or daily 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We decided to head out to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a small town in Southern Ontario that is known for its beautiful wineries and scenic tours. First, we had to get the car. Enterprise CarShare has pickup locations all over Toronto in both suburban and downtown areas. We happened to be downtown so we picked up our Audi A4 and went on our way. Getting into the car is a breeze: just swipe your membership card on the windshield to unlock it.
We escaped to Ravine Vineyard – a 34-acre property that is known for hosting beautiful events and producing fantastic organic wine. We spent our day taking a tour of the property, eating at their restaurant and taking a peek inside their little grocery store. 'C' did not drink as he was the one driving this day. At the end of our day we left feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the world once again. Our experience using Enterprise CarShare was very positive: They had the car we needed where we needed it at the time we needed it. Check out their Canadian promotion for more information – they almost certainly have a location near you.
Thank you Enterprise CarShare for sponsoring this post.
